Hi, this is Zan's character topic! This first post is going to contain nothing more than basic, general information on my characters! More than likely, I won't have more than three or four characters so here we go! Also, copying my characters will result in a severe punishment.

Hae Lynn --> Waterbender

Family:
Father; Bojing Lynn: Bojing was the kindest, calmest, most warm-hearted man that Darpana or Hae ever knew. Hae was extremely close with her father, often enjoying early morning fishing trips with her father. Almost every morning for five years, the two would sit out there and talk and fish, catching food for the family and part of the tribe. Bojing was the only other water-bender in the family and the only one that Hae could ever go to for real bender to bender advice. Bojing taught his daughter everything he knew and more. The two were extremely close and the morning that he died, was the only morning that Hae couldn't go out fishing. She'd been violently sick the night before, unable to hold down anything that was given to her, so her mother stayed behind to take care of her. Bojing came into her room, kissed her forehead, whispered, "I love you, my flower," and left the room. That was the last time Hae ever saw her father alive. Hae still blames herself for what happened, always telling herself that if she hadn't eaten the night before, then she would've been fine to g out and fish the next morning.
Mother; Darpana Lynn: Hae doesn't have the best relationship with her mother seeing as how her mother isn't mentally stable and Hae's the only who takes care of her now. For most of her life, Darpana's been stable and calm and motherly and caring. She was married at the age of sixteen and gave birth at the age of seventeen and eighteen and now that she's almost done taking care of her kids she's kind of given up. Especially because she's not longer in the North, but Republic City.
Older Sister; Jia Lynn: Jia and Hae don't exactly get along. Jia's two years older than Hae and already married with a family to take care of now. While Darpana tried to convince her daughters that the North Pole wasn't safe anymore, Jia ignored her mother's protests and married, anchoring her to the place she grew up in. Jia's a beautiful raven haired beauty with bright, skye blue eyes. While she's beautiful, she doesn't exactly have the best personality. She's a bit too hard-headed and independent, always feeling the need to push her opinion into the conversation. Next to Hae, Jia looks strong and completely independent. Jia and Hae's personalities have always clashed because of the differences in opinion and that's the real reason that they don't get along.

History:
Hae was born and raised in the North Pole. As a child, Hae was happy and blissfully unaware of the impending danger from Raja, the new leader. While Hae and her sister Jia were born into a time of peace and grew up in a time of peace, As children, Jia and Hae got along very well when playing together. Of course, most of the time, they weren't playing together. Jia spent most of her time with her mother while Hae spent most of the time with her father. Hae and her father were very close during those first seven years. Hae learned a lot from her father, including how to fish and water-bend.
For the majority of her life, everything was calm and dandy, until Hae's father was killed on a fishing trip by one of Raja's ships. Only ten men were lost that day, but Hae and Jia didn't particularly care about anyone else except their father. Their father's body was never recovered from the ship's wreckage. Though, in her family, Hae was the only water-bender left. While Hae was quietly dying inside over the death of her father, her mother was completely wiped out, falling deep into a depression.. quickly, too, leaving her daughters to fend for themselves.
Hae was practically holding her family together when one day she finally snapped. The two daughters were just standing in their home, arguing when Hae whipped a tendril of water at her sister, slicing open her sister's cheek. Jia, being brash and bold, picked up a knife and threw it back, just narrowly missing Hae's head. Hae unleashed her rage on her sister and her sister got hurt. While Hae was completely angry and tortured inside, her sister was just plain pissed. That's the day when Hae and Jia realized that they needed to take their mother away from the North Pole. Far, far away. So, the two sisters talked to their depressed, unresponsive mother and told her what they had planned.
Physical Appearance:
Hae's short. She stands at about five foot two inches and she's thin, too. She's always been fairly thin and frail. She's stronger than she looks though. She's always been told that she's undeveloped and petite and maybe even a little underweight. Hae's never really payed attention to what she weighs or whatever. She's one of the very few girls in the nation that doesn't care about their weight. Given she is small. Hae's arms are thin and long just like the rest of limbs. The way she's being described you'd think she looks like a little girl. And she does, she definitely looks younger than she actually is. But she's still beautiful.
Hae's face is soft and shaped like a heart. She's got a small, pointed, delicate chin that has a scar on the underneath side of it. From the empousai attack. Hae's smile is fantastic and she's got these dimples on the sides of her mouth that are rarely seen. Hae doesn't exactly socialize with people. On the higher side of her face, she's got a nose that's just a nose. It goes straight down. It's a bit small and she wishes it were bigger. Though, it's not a Voldy nose or anything. Underneath her nose are her lips, which she often smears honey on, giving them a soft feeling. Plus, her lips always end up dry and she finds the lack of hydration to be extremely annoying.
On both sides of her nose are her eyes. Hae's got large, luminous blue eyes. Her eyes are always bright and shining, with either tears or whatever. But usually they're shining. In the iris of her eyes, the blue is the most dominant color, but there's flecks of brown and gold near her pupil. Hae's pupils are often dilated, leading people to think she messes around with plants and such. Framing her eyes are very average, brown eyelashes. Above her eyes, are tiny, thin, arched eyebrows. Her eyebrows are naturally shaped like this, luckily. She doesn't do much with her facial apperance. When Jia and her get along, Jia'll often brush her sister's hair, telling her that she should wear it off her face more.
Hae's hair is down to about her mid-back, being long and straight. She always keeps it styled somehow. Either half up and half-down or tied back into a bun thing on the top of her head. Sometimes, but only sometimes, she'll braid it. Rarely will she do a fancy updo. She saves her updo skills for special occasions. Her hair is extremely thick and she has long layers in her hair, and her hair is all the same color.
Hae wears her basic water-bending clothes from the North Pole. While she doesn't partcularly enjoy wearing a hooded coat lined with fur from animals, she usually keeps on her light clothing, but in blue. Hae usually keeps a water pouch with her on all times.
Personality:
Hae keeps to herself most of the time, quietly moving around in a bit of a dream-like state. Or so it seems like to most people. In reality, Hae stills blames herself for her father's death. Deep down, Hae's very tortured over the whole thing and it's always there in her thoughts, constantly haunting every single thing she does or ever will do and she knows this. But, she somehow gets through her everyday life just ignoring these feelings.
So while it seems that Hae's shy, she's really just avoiding other people. Especially the people in Republic city. She almost looks down on them, seeing them as a mixed breed of people with too much going on and not enough seperation between elements. She tries not to openly show condescension towards the people of Republic City as a waitress in a tea shop, but sometimes she can't always help it.
Despite her slight condescension and just a wee bit of arrogance, Hae's extremely patient with people. Of all traits, she's not sure why she was blessed with the gift of patience, but she's always been able to sit around and wait, while a customer or someone does something that requires her to wait. It's almost as if she has all the patience in the world. Even though she's patient, she's a bit firm about it so it doesn't seem that she has no backbone.
What happened to Hae as a young girl has made Hae a very strong bender. Mentally, physically, and emotionally. She's taken the incident and turned it into a stimulant, using it to propel her forward. She always thinks that her father would've wanted her to keep going on and not give up like her mother did. Though, she's not always good at keeping her emotions in check. Even though she's a water-bender, her mother used to tell her that she had the heart of a fire-bender. Not only does she use her father as motivation to keep going in life, but she uses that in fights and when defending herself. Now, Hae doesn't go around beating up people for kicks. Usually she uses her water-bending as a defense or usually to clean.
Hae is one of those people that can not only judge herself a little too harshly, but she can also judge everyone else around her a bit too harshy. She doesn't like to give second chances, believing that if you screwed it up the first time, odds are that you'll do it again. When you break Hae's trust, it's definitely not easy to gain it back, as she'll hold a permanent grudge against you.

While Hae and her mother where going through her father's belongings, they stumbled upon a letter. The letter was addressed to Hae and Jia and it came with a seperate box. While Darpana went through the letter, Jia and Hae attacked the box, pulling out the belongings of their later father. Not much was inside of it except for a few things.. a few survival type items. Inside the box contained: two water slicks, a Moon charm necklace, and an ocean tide necklace, a vial of blessed water, and a silver, pearl encrusted knife. The knife, a slick, and the Moon necklace went to Jia while Hae received the vial, the tide necklace, and a slick. Inside her necklace, Hae later found out, was a secret note from her father. It was written directly to her from her father and full of emotion that said nothing more than goodbyes. Hae doesn't go anywhere without the necklace, finding it as a token of her father's love and compassion.

Family: Ian's parents died when he was very young and he has no recollection of them at all. Nor does he have any other family other than his aunt, who raised him. His aunt who raised him was a very hard, unemotional military type woman who never put up with any of the crap that Ian pulled.

Bayani's sixteen, turning seventeen in seven months.
Family:
Mother; Aika Li: Aika is a beautiful air-bender who married a non-bender and had a child with him. She'd always lived in Republic city, even as a little girl. She'd never known another home. Aika was born to a pair of air-benders killed a few days after she was born. Aika was raised in Earth bender culture, though, being found by a pair of earth benders madly in love and unable to have children. They were an older couple but willing to raise a baby together. Aika was an easy to please child, her calm, happy nature being adored by many. Even as she grew into a young woman, her calm bubbly attitude stayed with her. That's what attracted Feng to her. When she met him for the first time she fell hard for Feng's quiet, dreamy persona. However, after he found out Aika was pregnant, he left her to care for her child on her own. Embarrassed by her failure, she ran away to Air Temple Island, where she had her baby and raised her son all by herself.
